The widowed owner of a little shop and lodge blends psychic capacities, intuition, and a little literal enchantment for the cause of the angels in the fictional town of Middleton

Why The Good Witch might be annoying:

Nine executive producers (including Bell) — still a bit too much, even for its day.
There would have to be an initially angsty moody young’un in the lot (city slicker Nick, in this case).
The obligatory Hallowe’en special aired in 2015.
A fifth-season episode featured a clear depiction of Prince Harry.

Why The Good Witch might not be annoying:

It isn’t a hotbed of hard-core or graphic action (which often happened on Bell’s previous show).
While it was filmed mainly in west-end Toronto, Cambridge (Ontario) would be the site of some pivotal scenes in the sixth season (after Madison’s departure).
A New York Times critic called it a ‘gentle, sentimental primetime fable set in an idealized Middle American small city (not an angsty suburb)… the show you find your parents or grandparents watching when you come home for a visit.’
Never nominated for a major television award, it often pulled in around 2,5 million viewers – a solid showing for such a channel – on Sunday nights.
