He is the subject of his father's ridiculous and outrageous statements, such as declaring Lonzo a better player than Stephen Curry and LeBron James.
Many teams were hesitant to interview him for the draft as a result.
He looks like the spitting image of Drake.
Despite having his own brand of shoe, the ZO2, he didn't wear any of them in the NBA Summer League, opting to wear Nike and Adidas shoes instead.
He opted to drop out of college after one season and declare for the NBA Draft (at the influence of his father).
He became a pariah amongst sports fans leading up to the NBA Draft, as a result of his father's influence.
Why he might not be annoying
He is biracial, as he was born to a Caucasian mother and an African-American father.
His senior year, he won several high school player of the year awards after leading his team to an undefeated record and California state championship.
He was an instrumental factor in the turnaround season at UCLA.
He got to play for his hometown Lakers (whether or not his father had something to do with it).
He led the NBA Summer League in double-doubles and triple-doubles, earning MVP honors (2017).
He grew up in an athletic family, as both parents played basketball and his father briefly played football in the World League during the 1990's.
