    Head coach for the Minnesota Vikings (1992-2001) and Arizona Cardinals (2004-2006 )
    Posted a 101-70 (.591) composite record in 10 seasons at the helm of the Vikings, leading the Vikings to eight postseason berths and two NFC championship games

Why he might be annoying:

    His playoff record with the Vikings was only 4-8.
    He never got the Vikings to the Super Bowl.
    After leading the Vikings to a 15-1 record during the 1998 regular season, they lost at home to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC championship game.
    He lost his other NFC championship game, 41-0 to the New York Giants in January 2001.
    He was notorious for manufacturing elaborate cabals, plots and schemes against him.
    His powerful ego and need for control resulted in conflicts with Vikings front office personnel.
    He had a testy and paranoid relationship with Twin Cities media.
    In his 1997 book No Room for Crybabies, he wrote that he planned to sue the team's board of directors unless they allowed him to purchase a 30 percent controlling interest in the team for $28.2 million.
    He was accused of sexual harassment allegations in 1995.
    Several Vikings executives resigned after losing power struggles with Green.
    He was accused of coddling talented but temperamental Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss, even when Moss failed to hustle, violated team rules and was involved in off-field transgressions.
    VIkings Pro Bowl offensive tackle Korey Stinger died of heatstroke during training camp on August 1, 2001. Late that year, Stringer's widow filed a $100 wrongful death lawsuit against the Vikings and named Green as one of the defendants.

Why he might not be annoying:

    While coaching in Minnesota, he had one of the heighest winning percentages of any active head coach.
    He was the first black head coach of a Division 1-A football program (Northwestern in 1981).
    He served as an assistant coach for the 49ers under Bill Walsh, one of the greatest coaches in NFL history.
    The eight playoff berths that he led the Vikings to were seven more than the Cardinals earned during that same time span.
    He advanced to eight playoff berths with the Vikings using seven different starting quarterbacks.
    As Cardinals head coach, he made one of the most famous NFL quotes of all-time: 'They are who they thought we were', referring to the Chicago Bears (2006).
    He didn't fine players for transgressions.
    He was selected Community Coach of the Year by the World Sport Humanitarian Hall of Fame in 2001.
    He used his love of fishing to host a bass fishing tournament to raise money for the Minneapolis Boys & Girls Clubs Outdoor Programs.
    He earned fees of up to $25,000 per appearance as a motivational speaker.
    He formed a partnership with an owner of a NASCAR Winston Cup team.
