    Head coach for the men's basketball teams at the University of Buffalo (2013-15) and Arizona State University
    NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player (1992)

Why he might be annoying:

    He was unable to translate his successful college numbers at the NBA level.
    He sustained serious injuries in a car accident, which could have been prevented had he worn his seat belt (1993).
    Some basketball pundits felt the injuries he sustained in his accident may have hindered his on-court performance afterwards.
    He made a cameo in the Nick Nolte film 'Blue Chips.'
    He was sued for defaulting on a $1 million loan, which was used to purchase his horse he owned (2009).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was a member of two NCAA National Championship teams at Duke (1991, 1992).
    He left Duke as the NCAA's all-time leader in assists.
    He made a comeback from the collision that saw him sustain two collapsed lungs, a ruptured trachea, broken ribs and a compression fracture in his back, along with injuries to his extremities.
    He pursued a career breeding thoroughbred horses following his retirement from basketball.
    He later followed in his father's footsteps and became a basketball coach.
