His name sounds similar to that of American actor Kenny Johnson‘s.
He wore the Jofa ‘toilet bowl’ style helmet early in his career.
His quiet reserved nature, along with the fact he played on a miserable Islanders team led his accolades to be overlooked by hockey pundits.
He never returned to the NHL following the lockout that wiped out the 2004-05 season.
