    Two of its notable residents were Focus on the Family founder Dr. James Dobson and country star Toby Keith.
    It is located in the heart of the infamous 'tornado alley.'
    It was struck by a tornado that killed 36 people, injured nearly 600, and caused over $1 billion in damages (May 3, 1999).
    It was struck by yet another tornado that killed 24 people, injured over 200, and caused over $2 billion in damages (May 20, 2013).
    An employee who worked at the city's Vaughn Foods food processing plant beheaded a co-worker and slit the throat of another (September 24, 2014).

Why Moore, Oklahoma might not be annoying:

    The city was named after Al Moore, an Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway employee.
    In the 1970s, the city launched a 'Smile America' campaign in which giant red, white and blue smileys were painted on the town's water towers.
