Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He looked rather chunky for a ball player.
He became a journeyman player after leaving the Brewers.
He played on four different teams in the last four years of his career.
He called a press conference to apologize for missing a grounder, saying 'I'm your Highest-Paid Free Agent. That, in and of itself, should tell you the big picture that the team's in' (June, 2006).
He spent the majority of his career on bad teams.

Why he might not be annoying:

He became an everyday player upon being traded to the Brewers.
He was a fan favorite in Milwaukee, giving the team's fanbase something to cheer about during a low period.
He was the first Brewer since Paul Molitor (and first Brewer for the National League) to start in an All-Star Game (1999).
He was well-respected by his peers in the clubhouse.
He served as a mentor to the younger players during his final few seasons in the majors.
