Wrote 'Blind Ambition' (1979), 'Lost Honor' (1982), 'Unmasking Deep Throat' (2002), 'Worse Than Watergate' (2004) and 'Conservatives Without Conscience' (2006)

Why he might be annoying:

The FBI described him as the 'master manipulator of the [Watergate] cover-up.'
He supervised the payment of hush money to the Watergate burglars.
He began cooperating with the Watergate investigators only because he was convinced he was being set up as the scapegoat for the scandal.
He claimed that parts of 'Blind Ambition' were made 'out of whole cloth' by his ghostwriter and that he had never 'gone through the book cover to cover.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He warned Nixon that Watergate was 'a cancer on the presidency.'
He began testifying in front of the Senate Watergate Committee without negotiating an immunity deal.
His testimony was the first to link Nixon to the Watergate cover-up.
When he was asked to testify before the Senate about George W. Bush's warrantless wiretapping program, he noted that he had 'more experience firsthand than anyone would want in what can go wrong and how a president can get on the other side of the law.' (2006)
