He is an all-or-nothing hitter.
In 2003, he hit a pathetic .215.
In the spring of 2004, with the use of steroids by major leaguers coming under fire, he said: 'Well you can you tell I don't use steroids...look at me, my head ain't the size of a movie theatre screen, and my nuts ain't the size of grapes.'
He has a thick Texan accent.
He made extra money in college by appearing as a decoy in police lineups.

Why he might not be annoying:

When Ken Griffey, Jr dislocated his shoulder at the beginning of the 2003 season, he said to some heckling fans 'Leave the guy alone...he's human...you wanna mess with Junior, you gotta mess with me first.'
He was given pro offers for both baseball and football out of college.
He chose baseball because he knew it would be easier on his body.
When he got his signing bonus from the Reds, he used most of the money to pay off the mortgage on his parents' house.
His favorite movie is 'American Pie.'
He drives a Ford F-350 pickup truck.
He signs autographs willingly.
Despite being 6'6 and weighing 260 pounds, he can steal bases when necessary.
