Why he might be annoying:

    He had a heart murmur and ignored medical advice not to play competitive sports.
    His NFL career ended after he refused a trade to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
    He had a tumultuous relationship with Raiders owner Al Davis.
    He cited Davis's meddling in the operation of the team as the primary factor in his resignation as head coach.

    His offensive schemes were described as being well structured by football pundits.
    He was a member of the Buccaneers inaugural coaching staff (1976).
    He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame (2003).
