The Resume

    (April 15, 1947- )
    Born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri
Birth name was Linda Joyce Bloodworth
    TV screenwriter and producer
With husband Harry Thomason, created the TV series Designing Women, 'Evening Shade' and 'Hearts Afire'
Produced the Bill Clinton campaign film 'The Man from Hope' (1992)
Wrote the novel 'Liberating Paris' (2004)
    Directed the documentary 'Bridegroom' (2013)

Why she might be annoying:

She constantly injected her liberal politics into the shows she produced.
Delta Burke accused her and her husband of 'emotional and sometimes physical abuse' on the 'Designing Women' set.
For some reason, she and her husband thought a sitcom built around chef Emeril Lagasse would be a hit; instead it was cancelled after 11 episodes (2001).

Why she might not be annoying:

She was named one of America's Fifty Most Powerful Women by Ladies' Home Journal (1990).
Chris Matthews called 'The Man From Hope' 'the best thing at the convention, much better than [Clinton's] speech.'
She quipped about Harry, 'I don't deserve him. But neither does anyone else, so I might as well have him.'
