The Resume

    (January 30, 1955- )
    Born in Norfolk, Virginia
    Won two US Opens (1988-89)
    Ryder Cup captain (2002)
Lead golf analyst for ABC (1997-2005)
Inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame (2007)

Why he might be annoying:

After hitting his ball into the rough during a 1982 tournament, he kicked his bag -- while it was being carried by caddy Gene Kelley, who was knocked over and injured his back.
Kelley said, 'He could have at least had the decency to apologize, which to this day he has never done.'
He collapsed at the 1995 Ryder Cup, bogeying the final three holes when a par on any one would have secured an American win.
His decisions as 2002 Ryder Cup captain prompted Sports Illustrated's Rick Reilly to say that he had 'given more gifts to Europe than the Marshall Plan.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He has an identical twin brother.
At Wake Forest, he was a member of a golf team that won the NCAA championship and was called 'the greatest of all time' by Golf World.
He was the first golfer to win a million dollars in a PGA tour season (1988).
He was the first golfer to win back-to-back US Opens since Ben Hogan in 1950-51.
