    It wasn’t until he was 60 that he found out why his parents called him Bud, and that his real name was Charles.
    His father encouraged him to become an accountant but he failed the entrance exam.
    His daughter said at his funeral that his favourite show was ‘Sex and the City’.

    He flew a Spitfighter in World War II.
    Australia’s Prime Minister Kevin Rudd called him an ‘Australian Legend.’
    He had a recognizable and humble voice and he was often chosen to narrate and do voiceovers
    He was married to his wife and childhood sweetheart for 58 years until she died.
    He starred alongside Michael Caton and Eric Bana in the Australian classic ‘The Castle.'
    He said that his role in 'The Castle' helped him recover from the recent death of his wife.
