The Resume

    (1977- )
Founded by Larry Ellison, Bob Miner and Ed Oates
    Headquartered in Santa Clara, CA
Business is Oracle Applications, Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Fusion Middleware, servers, workstations, storage
    NASDAQ: ORCL

Why Oracle might be annoying:

Their CEO, Larry Ellison, raked in more money than any other CEO (2008).
They laid off 10% of their workforce due to an accounting error.
Their slogan 'Can't break in, can't break in' just begs hackers to take them out, and they often do.
They paid detectives to look through Microsoft's trash. They defend this by saying they'd be willing to ship their trash to Redmond for Microsoft to investigate.
John Ashcroft filed a suit against them to prevent them from getting an intelligence contract. He then resigned, founded a lobbying firm, and then was hired by Oracle. The contract then went through.
    They have a sailing team.
They bought Sun Microsystems and then shut down their open source projects.

Why Oracle might not be annoying:

They won a $1.3 billion lawsuit against SAP's software piracy.
The Golden State Warriors competed in Oracle Arena.
