Why they might be annoying:

With their fortified wine Thunderbird, they pioneered targeting alcohol to the inner city.
Between Thunderbird, Night Train and Ripple, they dominated the 'bottle in a paper bag' segment of the wine market.
Through well-targeted campaign contributions, they got a custom-tailored 'Gallo Amendment' to the tax code that saved them tens of millions of dollars over the years.
They sued their brother Joseph for using the Gallo name to market cheese.

Why they might not be annoying:

Their father murdered their mother then committed suicide.
Despite its mass-market origins, E & J Gallo became the first American winery to be named 'International Winery of the Year' three times (1998, 2001, 2002).
Joseph was married to his wife Aileen for 60 years; Ernest was married to his wife Amelia for 62.
Julio died in a Jeep accident.
