Why he might be annoying:

Mexico has not improved since he took office.
He got married to his live-in girlfriend during his presidency (doesn't he have more important things to do).
He has 7 kids.
He tried to pressure President George W. Bush into giving Mexico more financial help by not voting in favor of war against Iraq.
He tries to get more financial help by saying he will help deter illegal immigrants if the US can give them money.
He advocates an open border with the US (which would allow even more illegal immigrants to enter the US).

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the first Mexican president since the 1930's that does not belong to the political party PRI.
