Why he might be annoying:

    He was one of seven children.
    He didn't start playing sports until the eighth grade.
    He took a line drive to the knee in college, which effectively ended his baseball career.
    He initially started his career as a running back, before being converted to a wide receiver by George Allen.
    His three decade affiliation with the Redskins ended when Norv Turner opted not to hire him to his coaching staff.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He played baseball, basketball and track, in addition to football growing up.
    He was the first rookie in 20 years to finish among the top 10 leaders in both rushing and receiving yards.
    He surpassed Don Maynard as the NFL's all-time leader in receptions (1975).
    He was voted among the 80 Greatest Players in the history of the Redskins/Commanders franchise.
    He was a mainstay on Joe Gibbs's coaching staff for most of the latter's tenure with the Redskins, earning three Super Bowl rings in the process.
