The Resume

    (April 10, 1983- )
    Born in Columbus, Ohio
Full name was Cecelia Marie Cichan-Lumpkin
    Resided in Tempe, Arizona
Only survivor of the Nortwest Airlines Flight 255 crash in Detroit, Michigan (August 16, 1987)
Was later raised by relatives and secluded from media attention

Why she might be annoying:

Due to pilot error, she was involved in a airline crash that killed 156 people which included her parents and brother as victims.
A story which circulated about her mother wrapping her body around Cecelia for protection from the crash fire proved to be false, because rescuers found Cecelia in her flight seat several feet from her mother's body.
She suffered broken bones and burns which required two months of skin graft treatment as a result of the crash.
According to reports, she had no memory of the actual plane crash.
Little information was known about her life after relatives had flight and court case records sealed for her privacy (January 1998).

Why she might not be annoying:

Her survival of the plane crash was considered unexplainable and miraculous by many, including airline crash investigators.
She recovered from her crash injuries.
Before records were sealed, she received worldwide media attention as well as many gifts, toys and correspondence from the public.
She relocated to Birmingham, Alabama after recovering from her injuries and was raised by an aunt and uncle.
She grew up without the media attention and harassment that her family desired her not to have.
She eventually got married and earned a Psychology degree from the University of Alabama.
Although she has made no public statements or attended annual memorial services regarding the flight crash, she corresponds with some of the crash victims' loved ones and releases certain personal information to them about her life.
