Attorney

The Resume

    (May 1, 1955- )
    Born in Durham, North Carolina
    Assistant United States attorney
University of North Carolina School of Law Juris Doctor degree
Author of ‘Licensed to Lie: Exposing Corruption in the Department of Justice’ (2014)
Co-author of Conviction Machine: Standing Up to Federal Prosecutorial Abuse’ (2020)

Why she might be annoying:

She had a son from a marriage she claimed ended in divorce ‘decades ago’ (longer than she cares to admit).
In the wake of the Presidential election awarded to Joe Biden, she was another casualty of the Twitter purge that banned Donald Trump.
Her crack about ‘releasing the Kraken’ (a term from ‘Clash of the Titans,’ a 1981 feature) became a social media meme.
Baseless or not, she managed to get Dominion Voting Systems on her case over defamation allegations (December 2020).
Her date of birth was not published on her Wikipedia page.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was instrumental in the prosecution of a Texas-born drug trafficker involved in the 1979 assassination of an U. S. District Judge.
The Enron scandal of the new millennium – in which she represented several firms and executives – was the basis of ‘Licensed to Lie.’
She founded a nonprofit for domestic violence victims and worked in conjunction with various women’s shelters.
Just after the Biden-Trump election race, she established another nonprofit, to collect funds in prosecution of federal fraud.
True or false, outlandish or not, unaddressed conspiracy assumptions – especially in the wake of the 2020 election campaign – are not going away.
