Why he might be annoying:

    He failed to stick with a team for more then two years after leaving the Browns.
    He played on five teams in five consecutive years.
    He was acquired by the Cardinals as part of the infamous deal that saw the Chargers trade up to draft Ryan Leaf.
    He spent the 2000 season out of football.
    Some football pundits felt his versatility was responsible for keeping him out of consideration to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
    He was wrongfully assumed to be the father of Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is the son of former NFL player Terry Metcalf.
    He is the first player in the history of the University of Texas football program to lead in all-purpose yardage in all his four years with the team.
    He was considered a solid asset for his offensive coordinators, as he was able to play the running back, wide receiver and kick return positions seamlessly.
    He led the NFL in punt return touchdowns in four out of five seasons between 1993 and 1997.
    He is the first player in NFL history to record 7,000+ yards on offense and 7,000+ yards on kickoff and punt returns.
    In addition to his accolades in football, he was an accomplished track and field star in both high school and college.
