The Resume

    (April 10, 1980- )
Forward for the Detroit Red Wings (2001-03), Los Angeles Kings (2003-07), New York Rangers (2007-08, 2009-12) and the Dallas Stars (2008-09)

Why he might be annoying:

He tries way too hard to be a bigmouth like Jeremy Roenick.
He basically described French-Canadian players as sissies.
He called Edmonton Oilers forward Georges Laraque a 'monkey' to his face during a game.
    He frequently takes dives.
He said the NHLPA lied to its members about the lockout.
He dated Rod Stewart's ex-wife Rachel Hunter who is 10 years his senior.
During a playoff game, he stood in the Devils crease waving his stick in Martin Brodeur's face rather then focusing on the play.
He referred to Brodeur as 'Fatso' on national television when the latter refused to shake his hand following the Devils elimination.
He was seen as being anti-social towards teammates.
During his stint with the Kings, he mocked teammate Dustin Brown about his speech impediment, which played a key factor in his departure from the team.
He has a fetish for women's fashion and actually interned at Vogue magazine during the 2006-07 off-season.
Prior to a game against Calgary, he went against his coach's wishes and gathered a group of reporters where he made the infamous remark 'It seems to be a common thing for other guys in the NHL to fall in love with my sloppy seconds!!!', which was a direct attack on both Dion Phaneuf and Jarret Stoll, who at the time were dating his ex-girlfriends Elisha Cuthbert and Rachel Hunter.
He was suspended indefinately from the Stars following the deragatory statement.
He once referred to Jarome Iginla as being one of the NHL's most boring players to market a team around.
He refused to participate in team functions, and often would isolate himself from teammates in the locker room.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is his own person.
He isn't afraid to speak his mind.
He does not care about what others think of his opinions.
He was given an opportunity to play full-time when he got traded from the Red Wings.
He is a physical player who isn't afraid to stick up for his teammates.
    He is dating Elisha Cuthbert.
He admitted his infamous 'sloppy seconds' remark was an attempt to draw excitement for the game and wasn't meant to be insulting.
He sought counselling following the incident and was claimed by the Rangers after being re-instated by the NHL.
He portrayed former Ranger Bob Dill in the Canadian film 'The Rocket' and was actually dealt to the team seven months after its shooting.
He lived with Brett Hull during his stint with the Red Wings, which was a key factor in the latter's decision to bring him to Dallas.
He is considered one of the NHL's peskiest players.
