    Relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio prior to the start of the 1957-58 season.

    Their establishment in Rochester is ignored by modern-day basketball fans.
    They played in one of the smallest markets in professional sports.
    They changed their name to the Seagram Royals, because they were low on cash and needed to be sponsored.
    They changed their team nickname three times.
    Their demise in Rochester was a result of the team losing their competitive edge when they were placed in a tough division.
    They spent their final few seasons in the NBA's basement, prior to their relocation.

Why Rochester Royals might not be annoying:

    They initially started as a semi-pro franchise.
    They won the franchise's first NBA championship in their original city.
    Red Holzman and Maurice Stokes got their NBA start with the franchise.
    They hosted the 1956 NBA All-Star Game.
    Their uniforms have been used by their successor franchise, the Sacramento Kings for the NBA's throwback nights.
