Why Tell Me You Love Me might be annoying:

It is closer to soft porn than a TV series.
Some claim it is HBO's attempt to become Skinamax (Cinemax).
It takes the stories too serious and lacks humor.
Those associated with the show deny rumors that some sex scenes were real and not simulated. It is believed some associated with the show started those rumors.
The characters are usually complaining or whining (... and yes that is the same thing).
San Francisco Chronicle's Tim Goodman wrote 'Intriguing, but not especially enjoyable.'
LA Times' Mary McNamara wrote 'Unfortunately, it is difficult to stay interested in what happens to any of these characters because most of them are so absurdly unlikable.'
Critics have labeled it pretentious, vapid and boring.
The stories take way too long to develop.

Why Tell Me You Love Me might not be annoying:

The series is engulfed in full frontal nudity.
It features two actors from Lost - Sonya Walger and Ian Somerhalder.... and yes they are naked.
The psycho babble appeals to female viewers and the gratuitous nudity to male viewers.
It is hard to believe it enticed name actors to simulate sex.
It shows coitus, fellatio, cunnilingus, masturbation and ejaculation.
The actual premiere was seen by less than a million viewers, but after a few rebroadcasts it quadrupled that number.
Maureen Ryan of the Chicago Tribune found it a 'deeply interesting, occasionally riveting show.'
Many critics felt the acting was well above par, and the viewers could feel their pain.
