She was appointed to her seat after her predecessor, Johnny Isakson, retired for 'health reasons.'
She has been accused of insider trading as a result of selling stocks during the coronavirus pandemic.
She sold between $50,001 and $100,000 worth of stock from Resideo Technologies - on the same day she attended a briefing about the coronavirus in late January of 2020.
She put out several tweets, including a video message, reassuring constituents that 'the economy is strong' during the global pandemic.
She feigned ignorance about the timing of the decision, but she is married to the chairman of the New York Stock Exchange...
She was confronted by Ed Henry and Tucker Carlson over the insider trading accusations in separate interviews.
