Why he might be annoying:

Some football pundits feel his playcalling is considered way too conservative.
His coaching style has been compared to that of former college coach Tom O'Brien, which is playing to avoid losing rather then to win games.
Many analysts make it a point to talk about his minority status, then his football accolades.
He was extremely overhyped as a coaching prospect for various head coaching vacancies around the NFL.
He took part in the Bears infamous 'Super Bowl Shuffle' song.

Why he might not be annoying:

He grew up in a military family, living in Panama and Germany, along with living in Maryland and Washington state before settling in California.
He is the third Latino in NFL history to serve as the head coach of an NFL franchise.
He is the first player of Puerto Rican descent to win a Super Bowl ring (1985).
He spent his entire playing career with the Chicago Bears.
He was inducted into both the College Football Hall of Fame and the California Sports Hall of Fame for his accolades.
