Played for the Montreal Canadiens (1909-11,1912-22), Vancouver Millionaires (1911-12), Saskatoon Crescents (1922-24), Saskatoon Sheikhs (1924-26), New York Americans (1926-27) and Quebec Beavers (1927-28)
Head coach for the New York Americans (1926-27), Ottawa Senators (1929-31) and Montreal Canadiens (1932-35)
Played lacrosse for Montreal (1905-12), Toronto (1912) and Vancouver (1912-17)
Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame (1950) and Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame (1965)

Why he might be annoying:

He played only six games in 1915, holding out for a higher salary the rest of the season.
He was notorious for stick battles with other players.
After he was traded by the Canadiens to Saskatoon for Aurel Joliat, he retaliated by delivering a crosscheck to Joliat's face during their teams' next meeting.
As a coach, he punched out one of his own players as a warning to the rest of the team that he wouldn't take any back talk.

Why he might not be annoying:

He won the scoring title in the Ontario Professional Hockey League with 29 goals in just nine games (1907).
He scored the Canadiens' first ever goal (January 5, 1910).
In 1950, he was named athlete of the half-century in lacrosse.
He lit the torch at the opening of the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame (1955).
