Why he might be annoying:

    Whenever he was given air time on SNL, he would usually play obnoxious idiot characters.
    His writing style has been described as insane and psychotic.
    He originally auditioned as a performer for SNL but was cut.
    He got into trouble with police for posting signs all over the city announcing that he was going to commit suicide, then threw a weighted dummy of himself off a roof. It was a prank he pulled for the show 'Upright Citizens Brigade.'

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is an alumnus of Second City Chicago.
    He has written over 600 sketches for Saturday Night Live.
    He is responsible for many of Will Ferrell's sketches on Saturday Night Live.
    Despite never being an actual player on SNL, he was quite often given a lot of air time.
    He was a founding member of the 'Upright Citizens Brigade' improv/sketch comedy troupe when they first started out in Chicago.
    He wrote several short films for SNL which were praised for their unique characters and bizarre storylines.
