Why he might be annoying:

He stabbed his mother to death after both had been drinking heavily and had a fight.
He killed a 15-year-old girl after she slapped him in the face during an argument.
He dropped out of school in the fifth grade.
He divorced his wife Betty Crawford after one year of marriage.
He confessed to killing as many as 600 people, but many of those confessions came into question later.
His death sentence was commuted to life in prison, because of increasing doubts about his guilt in a murder for which he was condemned (as if the other murders don't count!).
He was the only man to have his death sentence commuted by Texas Governor George W. Bush.
He tried to commit suicide after being deprived of coffee and cigarettes during a police grilling.

Why he might not be annoying:

His mother abused him.
He had a glass eye, which was a result of a childhood accident that his mother neglected.
He was an unwanted child born to alcoholics.
He died in prison.
The movie, 'Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer,' was made about his life.
