She made one film in Mexico, 'Nos veremos en el cielo,' which flopped (1956).
In 1961, she married a Belgian baron, Jacques Thuret, who was allegedly emotionally abusive.

Her looks were compared to Marilyn Monroe.
She studied at Los Angeles' College of Art in the early 1950s, receiving a prize for her lithographs in 1953.
Fellow pageant contestants voted her 'Miss Congeniality.'
Her paintings appeared in shows in France, Belgium, and Italy.
