Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He only has an eighth grade education.
    He is extremely short-tempered.
He went against his mother's wishes and preferred to play baseball over his academic studies.
He often skipped school to watch baseball games.
His baseball obsession was bad enough, that his mom had to hide his equipment, in order to keep him focused on school.
Despite being a switch hitter, he struggles with hitting from the left side of the plate.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was raised by a single mother, and began working at the age of 7 to help support his family.
He initially was a pitcher, before converting to the infield.
His signing with the White Sox was influenced by Ozzie Guillen, who encouraged the team to send him to their development camp, rather then release him outright as a way to keep him from returning to his crime-ridden neighborhood in Venezuela.
He is a versatile infielder, as he was able to play second base, third base and shortstop seamlessly.
He was the 11th Mets player to hit for the cycle, and first player to hit one at San Diego's Petco Park (June 6, 2022).
