He came out as gay in a Globe and Mail article but he refused to clarify it.
He gets very defensive when he is asked any personal questions.

He started an internet petition to have Canadian Alliance leader Stockwell Day change his first name to Doris.
He was able to question George Bush regarding his knowledge of Canada on ‘Talking to Americans.'
He wrote the book 'Streeters' which was a collection of his most famous rants.
He has created the comedy programs 'Made in Canada' and 'Monday Report' which happened to be favorites among Canadian viewers.
Many famous Canadians of different varieties have been interviewed on his shows.
