    (October 30, 1893-February 3, 1945)
    Born in Celle, Germany
    Head of Nazi Germany's 'People's Court' (1942-45) which handled 'political offenses'
    Presided over the trials of Hans and Sophie Scholl and surviving conspirators from the July 20 plot to assassinate Hitler

Why he might be annoying:

    He went from flirting with Marxism to embracing Nazism.
    Even other Nazis did not like him.
    He represented the Ministry of Justice at the Wannsee Conference (January 20, 1942) where details of the 'Final Solution' were worked out.
    He presided over a kangaroo court where verdicts were predetermined.
    He enjoyed yelling at and humiliating defendants.
    His widow received a pension from West Germany.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He graduated first in his class from high school.
    He was a decorated officer during World War I before being captured by the Russians.
    He died when the People's Court sustained a direct hit during an American bombing raid.
