    They loathed non-white immigration and wanted it stamped out from Canada completely.
    They successfully pressured Canadian provinces to introduce eugenics legislation.
    Until recently, only law students in Canada have heard of them and their achievements.

Why they might not be annoying:

    They successfully convinced the Supreme Court of Canada that women count as 'persons' in Section 24 of the British North America Act 1867 (1930).
    They were very brave women who were the early pioneers of the feminist movement.
    As a result, they got to enter politics, which was off limits for women before 1930.
    Statues of them were erected on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
    They, along with Thérèse Casgrain, were featured on Canada's newest fifty-dollar bill.
    Five parks in Edmonton's River Valley Parks System were named in honor of them.
