Why she might be annoying:

She was a B-list celebrity in two different fields: singing and acting.
She didn't mind playing up her considerable good looks to help career.
She is a white chick from England who sings the blues.
    She dated Donovan.
She really packed on the pounds as she got older.
She appeared on stage in that stupid embarrassment from the sixties, 'Jesus Christ Superstar,' as Mary Magdalene.
She recorded three albums in Sanskrit and tried to incorporate traditional Indian instruments into blues music.
Interestingly, she has never sung in any of her film or TV roles.
She has never won or been nominated for a major award for her music or acting.
    That seventies hair!

Why she might not be annoying:

Her performance as an animal skin clad cavegirl in the movie 'The People That Time Forgot' was quite fetching.
It's not her fault she was good looking (and, yes, they are real)!
She went to high school with David Bowie, who carried her books for her and gave her guitar lessons.
She was Great Britain's junior water skiing champion for four years until a knee injury forced her into retirement.
Although mostly known for being in low budget films, she appeared in several very high quality movies, including two about composer Gustav Mahler.
Although she doesn't really have the background of a blues singer, she surely does have the voice for it.
She was an inspiration for fellow British singer Adele.
Bob Dylan has complimented her song writing.
She operates a blues festival every year on the Caribbean island of Mustique to help educate needy children.
Her albums 'Blue Job,' 'Below the Belt, and 'Sweet Meat' all feature blues song with a 'humorous, risque twist.'
She has done a pretty good job of keeping her private life private.
