Why he might be annoying:

    He shares his name with a U.S. Congressman.
    He was divorced.
    He devoted most of his life to drinking beer.
    He attended a community college without graduating with a diploma.
    He claimed to be the 'World's Fastest Beer Drinker' following an appearance on the TV series 'Taxi'; that title actually belonged to English gourmand Peter Dowdeswell.
    His time as the Master of Ceremonies on 'The Man Show' only lasted one season.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He ran a popular tavern, the Fox Inn in Santa Monica, California before the start of his TV career.
    He played piano.
    He did visits at numerous colleges across the United States and in nightclubs in Germany, Japan, Australia and Scotland.
    He closed every episode of 'The Man Show' with the ‘Ziggy socky, ziggy socky, hoy hoy hoy’ drink toast tradition which came from Germany.
    That tradition continued on the said show following his death.
