    Co-founder (with his father Ed and others) of NFL Films (1962)
    Received a Lifetime Achievement Emmy (2003)
    Posthumously inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame (2020)

Why he might be annoying:

    He was kicked out of school one year for streaking.
    He was divorced.
    He said, 'Life is good. Football is better!'
    He and NFL Films have been criticized for ignoring the darker side of football, such as concussions and steroids.

Why he might not be annoying:

    While training for college football in the Weight Room at Philadelphia Health club, he was urged by 1964 AAU Mr. America, Val Vasilleff and Pro Wrestling Champion, Buddy Rogers, to enter the AAU Mr. Philadelphia physique contest.
    He entered the contest as a novice and won.
    He was a voracious devotee of classical music.
    He and his father's work have been considered the gold standard for presenting sports.
    With a total of 35 wins, he currently holds the record for most Emmy Awards received by any individual (as of 2021).
