Why he might be annoying
He was said to be somewhere between 117 and 185 in 'human years' because there is no 'official' dog to human years conversion table.
The day he died, Shinohara said he didn't want to go on his daily walk, so she went without him, and he died shortly after she returned.
After his death, Shinohara quoted that she 'would just like to thank him for staying alive so long.' (like he had some kind of say in the matter)
He is not the longevity record holder for oldest documented dog ever by Guinness - that distinction belongs to Bluey, an Australian cattle dog who died in 1939 at age 29.
PeTA used his death as an opportunity to spew their propaganda about how mixed-breed dogs live longer than purebreds because there's not as much inbreeding blahblahblah.
Why he might not be annoying
He lived a long a happy life with an owner that adored him.
He held the official Guinness title as oldest dog for one year between Decembers of 2010 and 2011.
His yet to be title and life were jeopardized in 2008 when he was struck by a car, but emergency surgery saved and prolonged his life.
Dying shortly after she returned from her walk, Shinohara stated, 'I think Pusuke waited for me to come home.'
Putting his death in perspective, Shinohara maintained, 'It was at least good for him to pass away at home, not at hospital.'
