Why he might be annoying
His scene in the movie version of the 'Producers' musical was cut.
He's been typecast as gregarious blowhards, usually with bosses with gags revolving around their weight.
He did a random guest spot on Seinfeld as an overweight nudist who Jerry befriends on his ride to Coney Island to pick up his found car ('Who's got time for squat thrusts?' 'All right, how about skipping breakfast.')
He has a decades long career on stage and television but is known almost exclusively as the voice of Pumbaa the Warthog, a role he has reprised since 1994.
Why he might not be annoying
Most Disney fans prefer his rendition of Pumbaa to Seth Rogen's.
He has made for a great comedic teaming with Nathan Lane.
He had starring roles on Broadway in productions of 'Guys and Dolls' and 'Man of La Mancha.'
He met his wife backstage during a Broadway performance of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum in 1996 (they married three years later).
He had a small but memorable role as Mr. Bundles the laundryman, known for flirting with Miss Hannigan, in ABC's 1999 'Annie' special.
