Football Coach

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

    He never played professionally.
He was a nomad in the coaching ranks.
His first head coaching opportunity in the NFL was remembered for his poor clock management skills.
His game clock management was bad enough for the Broncos hired someone else to do it for him.
He attempted to manage the clock in order for the Broncos to kick a 64 yard game winning field goal, which was in vain as the ball went wide left.
He was fired by the Broncos following a 51-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on a nationally televised Christmas Day game (December 26, 2022).
He is the fifth first-year head coach in NFL history to be fired before the end of his first season with his team.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the son of former NCAA football coach Paul Hackett.
He got his break in the NFL by serving on Jon Gruden’s staff.
He built a successful offensive scheme around both Blake Bortles and Leonard Fournette during his first full season as offensive coordinator in Jacksonville.
He followed it up by building a dominant offence around Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay.
His offensive schemes and playcalling led him to be considered a top candidate for a head coaching vacancy, prior to taking the Denver job.
