    She increased her blog’s web traffic by semi-stalking then-Anchorage mayor Mark Begich while he was running for the Senate in 2008.
    Web traffic was further increased in 2008 by churning out articles on then-Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin (whom she had been covering since 2006, even dressing as her for Halloween that same year).

    Her favorite TV show is ‘Total Bellas.’
    Eric Boehlert called her writing ‘witty’ and ‘quirky.’
    She received a Rasmuson Foundation Individual Artist Award in 2008.
    She was named Alaska’s top blogger by PurpleStates.tv, which selected her to represent the state in its 50/50/50 project.
    She was a full-time online editor at Alaska Dispatch, working with the news team that won the 2011 Best of the West award for their coverage of the Ted Stevens plane crash.
    She co-wrote the play ‘8 Stars of Gold’ in celebration of Alaska’s 50th anniversary of statehood.
