Why they might be annoying:

In their first game, which was against the Mets, Dwight Gooden tossed a complete game, three-hit shutout.
Coors Field is known as a hitter's park because of the thin air.
They were no hit twice in the '96 season, including once at home.
The highest scoring All-Star game was played in Coors Field.
Mike Hampton had a record of 85-54 before playing for the Rockies, but in his two seasons there, he had a record of 21-28.
They're awful when playing away from Coors Field.

Why they might not be annoying:

The Denver area voters passed a 0.1% sales tax to finance the construction of a baseball stadium if they were awarded a franchise.
In their first home game ever, Eric Young hit a lead off home run.
They attracted 80,227 people in their first ever game, which is an MLB single-game attendance record.
In their inaugural season, they were the fastest team to reach the one million mark in attendance. They managed this by their 17th home game. Nineteen games later, they broke the record for reaching the two million mark in attendance and 17 games later, they broke the record for reaching the three million mark in attendance. All the records were held by the '92 Toronto Blue Jays.
They clinched a playoff birth in their third season.
They are for the first team to sweep both the divisional and league championship series (2007).
