    Drafted 24th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft
    Forward for the Pittsburgh Penguins (1997-2004)
    Also played for Krylya Sovetov Moscow (1993-97), Ak Bars Kazan (2004-13) and CSKA Moscow (2013-14)

Why he might be annoying:

    He didn't join the Penguins until three years after he was drafted by the team, due to being unable to opt out of his deal with his Russian club.
    He changed the spelling of his first name to Aleksey during his last couple NHL seasons.
    His tenure with the Penguins was spent on the bottom six forward lines.
    His lack of success in the NHL, earned him the label of a first round bust.
    He spent his final season on a horrendous Penguins team, which he left the NHL never to return.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He wore #95 with the Penguins to commemorate his draft year.
    He was one of the few players who was able to score on Martin Brodeur easily during the latter's prime years.
    He skated alongside both Alexei Kovalev and Mario Lemieux on the top line in Pittsburgh.
    He captained the Russian national men's hockey team to five medal finishes at the World Championships between 2007 and 2011.
    He established himself as a top line forward upon signing with Ak Bars Kazan.
