Richard Pryor chose him to play the lead role in a biopic based on the legendary comedian's life.
He said of his career: ‘I'm in the business to make people feel good.'
He contributes to Christmas toy drives and Thanksgiving meal programs for the underprivileged in his hometown of Indianapolis.
