The Resume

    (September 19, 2007-September 12, 2014)
    FOX
Premise: Gordon Ramsay travels the United States to address problematic restaurants — and personnel
Based on ‘Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares’ (U.K.)
    7 seasons, 92 episodes

Why Kitchen Nightmares might be annoying:

Just because it isn’t a competitive series, like Hell’s Kitchen is, doesn’t mean it’s lacking in shenanigans, ego trips, or bad attitudes.
You thought Hell’s Kitchen was full of bad cooking, you should taste some of the wares Ramsay had to face (and suffered food poisoning for)!
Don’t think too much about that chef’s knife that substitutes for the first ‘I.’
Yes, it did get an overseas voiceover, for those on that side of The Pond (‘Kitchen Nightmares USA’).

Why Kitchen Nightmares might not be annoying:

Only a handful of restaurants had their names changed (compared to a large number of bars shown on Bar Rescue).
Not all episodes had a happy ending. Chief among them:
In the infamous Amy’s Baking Company episode (2013), the normally passionate Ramsay knew he was fighting a losing battle with the owners and ultimately left without any changes.
The official YouTube channel would continue to upload highlights and the occasional full episode.
