He got Verlaine hooked on alcohol and drugs.
He contracted syphilis in Africa.
He illegally ran guns to rebels in Abyssinia (Ethiopia).
Jim Morrison claimed to be his reincarnation.
He looked a bit like Ben Affleck.
Leonardo DiCaprio played him in the horrible movie, 'Total Eclipse.'
His name sounds like 'Rambo.'

His father abandoned his family.
He worked to help the poor in Africa.
He developed a cancerous tumor in his knee, and his leg had to be amputated.
