Why he might be annoying:

He was sometimes credited in films as 'Peewee Strange' early in his career.
A majority of his career was spent playing villains in B-westerns.
He appeared in some musical westerns, where he danced and sang.
Many people confuse his portrayal of Frankenstein's monster with that of Boris Karloff's.
The filming of 'Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein' was frequently slowed because he constantly laughed on camera.

He was known as a kind family man.
He was loved by nearly everyone he worked with.
He never had any trouble finding work.
He learned how to play guitar and violin from listening to others play it.
He was married to the same woman for over 50 years until his death.
