The Resume

    (1904-1905)
Based in Dawson City, Yukon, Canada
One year wonder hockey franchise that competed for the Stanley Cup
Lost to the Ottawa Silver Seven in the 1905 Stanley Cup challenge

Why Dawson City Nuggets might be annoying:

They were an inexperienced team that made a challenge to take on the Stanley Cup champions.
They were outscored 32-4 in the two games they played against Ottawa.
The second game, they were defeated 23-2, in what is the largest defeat in Stanley Cup history to date.
In the second game, Ottawa forward Frank McGee scored 14 of those goals against them.
Their challenge of the Stanley Cup was questioned by hockey purists, who felt they weren't skilled enough to compete at the highest level.

Why Dawson City Nuggets might not be annoying:

They are the northernmost team to ever compete for the Stanley Cup.
They were bound and determined to challenge the Silver Seven for the Stanley Cup, that they took various different modes of transportation to reach Ottawa for the game.
Their determination to make it to Ottawa days before the game earned them a standing ovation and a welcoming dinner from the city's residents.
They gave hope to the residents of Dawson City, hoping to bring the first championship to the Yukon.
In 1997, a group of Dawson City residents replicated the journey to Ottawa and had a challenge game against the modern day Ottawa Senators alumni.
