He originally sported drab gray feathers, had a makeover, then sported vibrant blue feathers.
His ‘wannabe famous’ nephews often try to steal his commercial spotlight.
He had a nose job during the 1970’s to shorten his beak.
The best piece of advice he can give to your children: ‘Follow your nose.’
The Kellogg Company sued Toucan Golf, Inc., claiming their toucan mascot, Toucan Gold, was a trademark violation that would confuse consumers (2003).

He celebrated his 40th anniversary as one of the most popular and recognizable cereal mascots (2003).
He’s considered to be ‘more sophisticated’ than his breakfast cereal mascot brethren.
His likeness has been used to draw attention to environmental (rain forest) causes.
He shares his name with a popular adult beverage (gin, cranberry juice & Sprite).
He has a nose for show business.
