He was overshadowed by LaDanian Tomlinson, Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates.
Early in his career he was seldom used because he backed up LT and Michael Turner.
Many teams passed on him because of his small size.

Why he might not be annoying:

At 5'6', he was the shortest player in the NFL.
Filling in for an injured LaDanian Tomlinson, he racked up 328 all-purpose yards, and a game-winning overtime touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts (January 3, 2009).
He and Gale Sayers are the only players in NFL history to have 50 rushing yards, 50 receiving yards, and 100 return yards in a single game.
