The Resume

    (January 14, 1976-May 13, 1978)
Aired on ABC (1976-77) and NBC (1977-78)
    Lindsay Wagner as Jaime Sommers
    Richard Anderson as Oscar Goldman
Martin E. Brooks as Dr. Rudy Wells
Lee Majors as Steve Austin (1976-77)
Christopher Stone as Chris Williams (1977-78)
Spun off from The Six Million Dollar Man
Premise: When tennis pro Jaime Sommers is nearly killed in a skydiving accident, her life is saved with bionic implants, giving her superhuman abilities

Why The Bionic Woman might be annoying:

Due to a short production schedule, several first season scripts were recycled from 'The Six Million Dollar Man.'
When the show changed networks, Lee Majors was no longer allowed to make crossover appearances, forcing the addition of Chris Williams as a new love interest for Jaime.
There were episodes featuring extraterrestrials, bigfoot, and (hey, it was the 70s) Evel Knievel.
Jaime ended up getting a bionic dog -- which was stretched out over two episodes.
For a superhero, Jaime seemed to get kidnapped awful easily.
Jaime did not get to kick nearly as much ass as Steve Austin, rarely using her bionic strength against human opponents.
There was a short-lived 'reimagining' of the show (2007).

Why The Bionic Woman might not be annoying:

Jaime Sommers originally died in the 'Six Million Dollar Man' episode in which she was introduced, but she proved such a popular character she was brought back to life and spun into her own series.
Anderson and Brooks continued appearing on both 'The Six Million Dollar Man' and 'The Bionic Woman' even after they were aired by different networks.
Wagner won an Emmy for the show, while 'Six Million Dollar Man' star Lee Majors never even got a nomination.
Lindsay Wagner running in slo-mo may not have been quite up there with the Baywatch babes in slo-mo, but it was pretty darned good.
Unlike its parent show, it got a final episode intended to serve as a resolution for the series.
In the third and final of their reunion TV movies, Steve Austin and Jaime Sommers finally marry, almost twenty years after they first got engaged (1994).
